Mark Becks enters his second year as an assistant coach with the Blue Devils. Becks comes to Duke after strong wrestling and academic performances at Penn State University, graduating in 2003 with a degree in management. Becks now attends Duke’s Fuqua School of Business.

Becks wrestled at the 174 and 184 pound weight classes, where he was an All-American his senior year. Becks qualified for three NCAA tournaments, with a personal best finish of seventh in his senior year. Additionally, Becks placed three times in the Big Ten tournament, considered the toughest NCAA conference in the country, including a second-place finish as a senior.

The Concord, Ohio native was a three-time state place winner at Lake Catholic High during his prep career.
